Is "deodorant for clothes" the wrong search?

Deodorant, as a category, was built for human skin. Godrej Aer Fabric / Home Sprays

Marketed as fabric and home sanitiser sprays. Primary action is germ-kill via alcohol. Not built for odor neutralisation as a primary mechanism — closer to a sanitiser than a fabric deodoriser. Useful in laundry, less useful as a personal pocket reset tool.

Generic Body Sprays / "Deo Sprays"

Skin products. Aluminum-based or fragrance-based, depending on brand. Apply on fabric and you get white marks (dark fabric), yellow stains over time (white fabric), and short-lived fragrance over the original sweat smell. Wrong tool, repeated for marketing reasons.
