Smelloff is a Hyderabad-based consumer brand with one product and one job: ODORSTRIKE — a pocket-sized fabric odor remover spray. 50ml, ₹229, cash on delivery, ships pan-India.
Why we exist
Deodorant works on skin. But by 3pm on an Indian summer day, it's not your skin that smells — it's your shirt. Sweat compounds like isovaleric and butyric acid bind to fabric, especially polyester, and no amount of deodorant, perfume, or re-washing reliably fixes a shirt mid-day.
That gap — a fabric-specific fix, designed for Indian heat, humidity, and commutes, at an accessible price — simply didn't exist. So we built it.
The founders
Smelloff was founded by Jogdhande Nikhil Patil (founder) and Vineeth Kumar Duggepogu (co-founder). The two are friends who met at a job interview in Hyderabad and went on to work together for about a year and a half at Zomato Everyday, a cloud kitchen.
The idea started with a slightly embarrassing moment: Nikhil walking into a client meeting after an hour-long Ola ride in 41°C Hyderabad heat, and watching a colleague's expression shift. Six months of failed prototypes later — fancy fragrant water, unstable enzyme formulas — ODORSTRIKE's final formulation worked: Zinc PCA to neutralize odor molecules at the source, not mask them, paired with HPβCD (a cyclodextrin), the ring-shaped molecule that traps odor inside fabric.

The product
ODORSTRIKE is a 50ml fabric-only mist. Two sprays on the collar or underarm fabric, and it dries clean in 15–30 seconds as active neutralizers target trapped sweat odor. It works on cotton, polyester, denim, and wool. It is not a perfume and not a deodorant — here's the difference.
